Abstract
This is a project about the links between sustainability and menstruation. Noting the relatively small market for reusable sanitary devices, but nonetheless the huge environmental impact of disposable products, the project draws on a range of relevant qualitative methods (interviewing, social media analysis, diarising) to explore the experiences of users of (reusable) menstrual cups, and gauge the social and cultural meanings attached to them. At the heart of the project is a desire, in a world of disposability, to use this data in order to contribute to wider discussions about increasing the uptake of reusable menstruation cups.
