Abstract
"The project examines optimisation and generalisation in deep learning. It will examine introducing different strategies to improve the performance of deep learning in the training process. This includes applying variational methods to learn latent variables in deep inference machines and explore how parameter optimisation can act as a regularisation mechanism with in deep learning."
