Population Balance Modelling of Aerosol Dynamics

Abstract

The population balance equation (PBE) governs aerosol processes, but few analytical solutions exist. Instead numerical solutions have to be found and any given flow process or chemical reaction will need to be accounted for as well. This project aims to develop methods for modelling aerosol processes in key engineering applications such as sooting flames and aerosol reactors.
