Development of methods for monitoring of fatigue degradation in steel components

Abstract
The aim of this project is to develop an ultrasonic technique able to characterize the fatigue state of engineering components in nuclear steam raising plants. This will be achieved by correlating the change in speed and amplitude of a surface wave, to the corresponding fatigue state of the component.
