Abstract
In this project a continuous powder to tablet line GEA consigma-25 will be utilised. This line consists of a series of unit operations (feeding, twin screw granulation, fluidised bed drying, milling, blending and tabletting) connected in a continuous fashion in order to produce continuously up to 25kg/hr of tablets. Although the singular unit operation in the pharmaceutical industry are fairly well understood their utilisation in a continuous fashion is not as well documented.
