Abstract

I aim to study varying aspects surrounding the end of projects and institutions.
This is in the hope that it can help us learn more about both the type of
projects that truly deliver macro level impacts on the economy and for the
direct consequences associated with the interruption of projects. Such projects
include RCT and poverty intervention programs but also include the closure of
structural institutions such as school and hospitals. This work therefore
encompasses both development considerations and historical considerations
as to find good candidates from which to learn I will draw on experiences
across the global and throughout history where rich but understudied examples
often arise. Additionally to fact the technical side I will aim to bring in modern
developments in statistics to help overcome issues with identification in the settings
