Abstract
The manufacture of the opioid receptor antagonist Naloxone results in the formation of small concentrations of degradation products. In order to understand the degradation process, these degradants need to be characterised. This project aims to use chemical synthesis to access synthetic degradants, so that their structure can be confirmed and their mechanism of formation can be better understood
