Integrable Structures in Quantum Field Theory

Lead Research Organisation: University of Edinburgh
Department Name: Sch of Mathematics

Abstract

Integrability arises in many settings in QFT. These include the construction of explicit solutions such as monopoles, Seiberg-Witten theory associated with N=2 SUSY gauge theories, and Hitchin systems. In some settings there is a twistor
theoretic construction. Common to such is a spectral curve and its allied geometry, differentials and moduli space. The project will develop spectral curve theory and apply this in the QFT setting.
