New Physics using Displaced Secondary Vertices at ATLAS

Abstract

New physics signatures will be sought using displaced secondary vertices identified using machine learning techniques. The new physics includes both new particles with long lifetimes and also new physics in the B-hadrons that are a major background to the first signature.
