Computational modelling and machine learning for patient monitoring
Lead Research Organisation:

Abstract
This project develops advanced imaging and computational techniques that provide clinicians with novel measures and computational techniques for monitoring changes occurring in the human body, allowing assessment of disease stages, response to therapy, surgery etc. In particular, this project has two focuses: The first one is developing microstructure imaging techniques that can map large axons in the body, hence providing a way of monitoring changes in pre- and post- treatment in neurological diseases and injuries. The second is developing machine learning techniques for analysing a range of data from devices such as FNRIS, EEG, MEG etc. used for inter-operative monitoring of patients and for predicting the post-operative patient outcomes.
