Abstract
In a wide range of applications, growth or change of materials is driven by interfacial phenomena, e.g. in engineering by use of surfactants, and in biomedical phenomena, such as angiogenesis, asthmatic airway remodelling and embryonic lung branching morphogenesis. To describe and understand these phenomena, we will develop new fundamental models that couple standard PDEs to surface PDEs, and apply them in a range of different contexts.
