Theoretical Study of Attosecond Dynamics in Atoms, Molecules using High Harmonic Generation (HHG).

Lead Research Organisation: King's College London
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

The objective for this research project in to implement the Lewenstein approach which makes use of the semi-classical three step model and the strong field approximation. This is to achieve theoretical results on HHG. From the theoretical descriptions of HHG spectra one aims to differentiate between photon trajectories and identify quantum path interference's in high order harmonic generations. This may extend further dynamical studies using the information encoded in the spectra.
