Abstract
Conduct a scoping study/literature review examining existing evidence of service- user grassroots spaces for mental health recovery to help me to develop a 'deeper understanding of the nature and prevalence' (Arskey and O'Malley 2005) of past and present alternative organising.
As scoping exercises involve the 'analytical re-interpretation of the best available evidence from a range of sources' (Levac et al (2010:1) this will nurture scholarly refection and careful consideration regarding my personal positioning
Help me to identify gaps in knowledge and evidence and narrow down lines of enquiry most relevant to the studies aims and purpose
So that I establish clear organisation and participant inclusion and exclusion criteria.
And build a study which is sufficiently ethically considered and robust
