Catalytic Selective Olefn Trimerisation

Lead Research Organisation: University of Bath
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

Improving the performance and selectivity of the catalyst and better understanding the mechanism of the reaction by the application of new analytical tools. Prevention of catalyst degradation will be attempted by the synthesis of a caged complex, containing one or more Chromium centres, preventing access to the rear side of the triazacyclohexyl ring. Once an efficient method of synthesis has been established, analysis of the catalysis will be undertaken, and compared to previous systems.
