Beam induced fluorescence monitor for high intensity beams
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Liverpool
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
This project will focus on the measurement of cross sections, beam
profiles for ions and Pb at injection and high energy in the LHC and in
particular also on beam induced fluorescence measurements in the
hollow electron lens test stand at CERN.
Experimental work will be combined with simulations of the electron
beam spatial distribution and these will be benchmarked against
experimental data.
