Abstract
This involves studying infrared divergences and their full or partial cancellation between virtual and real emission diagrams. Such corrections can be large and are therefore can make relevant contributions to decay rates.

Description | Work has been done to analyse the impact of QED corrections to leptonic decay modes of heavy mesons which are potentially sizeable. Further exploratory work has been done to estimate charged/neutral mass differences for pseudoscalar mesons. |
Exploitation Route | Methods could be applied to other hadronic decays, or mass differences of baryons. |
