Many-Body Quantum Mechanics in Quantum Simulators and Computers

Lead Research Organisation: UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON
Department Name: Physics and Astronomy

Abstract

The simulation of strongly interacting electrons in a quantum computer will also be studied. Particularly, their simulation in analog quantum architectures and the comparison of these with near term quantum digital architectures will be an element of study. For example, the phases of itinerant electron systems in a quantum wire under strong interactions will be simulated. Research will also be performed in the optimization of various quantum computing and quantum sensing architectures using machine learning. The research will also aim to design optimal automata for complex multi-qubit gates.
