Equivariant orthogonal and embedding calculus

Lead Research Organisation: University of Warwick
Department Name: Mathematics

Abstract

The aim of the project is to extend the theories of orthogonal calculus or embedding calculus of Weiss and Goodwillie-Weiss to a setting where a finite group acts on the vector spaces and manifolds involved. The techniques used will be based on work of Dotto-Moi on the theory of equivariant diagrams and equivariant functor calculus. These methods will possibly need to be extended to an enriched categorical setting. This subject relates to the EPSRC research area of Geometry and Topology.
