Magnesium battery electrolytes

Abstract
This project will examine electrolytes for magnesium metal batteries. The aim is to develop systems that can reversibly plate magnesium but also exhibit good stability in contact with an oxide-based cathode. It will combine synthesis of novel electrolyte components with tests of conductivity, electrochemical behaviour and the study of interface layers formed at electrode surfaces.
