Exoplanet timeseries characterization with Hubble and Webb

Lead Research Organisation: University of Bristol
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

Measure the transmission spectrum of exoplanet atmospheres by analysing data from the Hubble Space Telescope (Hubble). Use available forward models, retrievals, and cloud models to interpret the measured atmosphere. Using simulators for the James Webb Space Telescope make predictions on the measured atmosphere out to the mid-IR. Determine the range of investigations that can be done with the Guaranteed Time Observations on the James Webb Space Telescope (Webb). Develop tools for analysis of Webb data.
