Analogue Neuromorphic Computing in Wearable Biosensors

Lead Research Organisation: University of Glasgow
Department Name: School of Engineering

Abstract

The project aims to demonstrate the potential of advanced microelectronic design for neuromorphic computing. Neuromorphic computing mimics the information processing mode of human brain, simulating the brain neural system, building a virtual human brain based on computing. As Moore's law is approaching end, neuromorphic computing expected to solve challenging machine learning problems and perform complex calculations faster, more power-efficiently. In this way, the project will develop and validate a low power processor chip for wearable sensors.
