Abstract
Project based on the emerging pharmacological concept of biased agonism, applied to the 5-HT2A receptor in the context of psychedelic drugs and antidepressant action.
Project focuses on the pharmacological actions of the psychedelic agent psilocin, which is a 5-HT agonist and the active molecule of psilocybin. A number of clinical trials have established efficacy of psilocybin in major depression and anxiety disorders.
