Deep Learning for Long Covid Predictions
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Southampton
Department Name: Sch of Electronics and Computer Sci
Abstract
The main aim of our proposed research is to explore how Artificial Intelligence approaches might
assist in the identification and monitoring of Covid-19 patients suffering from prolonged symptoms,
otherwise known as Long Covid. We propose looking specifically at Human Activity Recognition using
Machine Learning methods, utilising mobile sensors embedded in smart phones or wearable devices
to monitor the health progress of patients. We will also be using patients; medical records to
reveal patterns in one's previous state-of-health and provide insights for Long Covid.
