Abstract
My current research is into Unconventional Superconductivity, which are materials displaying superconductivity that does not conform to the standard BCS theory. I have been taking courses on Supa to develop my background knowledge for this field, however I have started to undertake experimental measurements of resistivity on the material UTe2. This material is an unconventional superconductor, and a potential candidate for a spin triplet superconductor, with the mechanism for the superconductivity not being fully understood. I am also about to perform measurements of heat capacity at cryogenic temperatures, to this end I have been working on modelling the measurements to account for contributions from the addenda (thermometer wiring) and the measurement acquisition time constant.
