Abstract

My research focuses primarily on macroeconomics, particularly macro-development, long-run growth and firm dynamics. One of the topics I am interested in within this intersection is the macroeconomic effects of natural disasters. In particular, I am looking at the impact of natural disasters on firms' innovation decisions, how this affects the firm size distribution and the implications of this on long-run growth as well as potential policy recommendations to mitigate the negative effects. To answer these questions, I use a combination of empirical and theoretical tools at the frontier of economics research.
