Lead Research Organisation:
University of Sheffield
Department Name: Sociological Studies
Abstract
In addressing its central research problem - how can more men be
encouraged to work in adult social care - this project will yield theoretical
and empirical insights relevant to a range of disciplinary interests.
Population ageing and concomitant social care pressures are challenges
for Social Policy scholars globally. This project's innovative focus on the
potential of men's role in the social care workforce will provide a critical
intervention to research in UK and internationally seeking sustainable
solutions to these challenges.
