Spin Crossover in Metal-Organic Frameworks
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Surrey
Department Name: Chemistry
Abstract
Inclusion of spin-crossover (SCO) centres into metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) towards applications of new class of
materials. Design and synthesis and characterisation of materials. Methodology will following two routes: 1) adsorption or
synthesis of SCO moieties inside MOF cavities and 2) introduction of SCO centres as the metal components of MOFs
through Fe(II) and Fe(III) based MOFs with N-donor multidentate ligands
