Abstract
This project provides an excellent opportunity for me to develop a variety of field skills in plant, invertebrate and microbial science. I am excited to use these skills to investigate the effects of climate change on Lake District ecology, as without this research we are unable to understand and mitigate how these ecosystems will change over the coming decades. As an avid hiker, studying in the Lake District is an incredible opportunity, as are the chances this project provides to collaborate with other organisations as I pursue a research career in ecology.
