Abstract
Initial research has identified that systems theory may offer one approach to improving this modelling. This was developed to identify the relationship between the discrete elements of a closed system. A sub-set of this is socio-technical systems theory.
Currently military operational analysis models the technical system. Adding the social system potentially offers a better replication of the complexity of land conflict.
