Abstract

The overall aim of this research is to explore the application of cyber power within the national security apparatus. Proposed research objectives. The research will seek to address the following (provisional) objectives: Objective 1 - Investigate the application of the cyber domain as a component of the hard and soft power; Objective 2 - Explore the role cyber power plays within sub-threshold conflict and great power competition; Objective 3 - Outline the current approach to UK Offensive and Defensive cyber operations; Objectives 4 - Explore the relationship between Defensive and Offensive cyber operations.
