Mu3e experiment and the Commissioning of the Pixel Tracker
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Liverpool
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
The focus of this thesis is three-fold. Firstly to develop tracking algorithms to measure and
analyse the tracking and vertex reconstruction performance of the pixel detector. Secondly, to
optimise the tracking algorithms under realistic detector conditions, such as inefficient or noisy
pixel sensors. From this, the expected performance of the experiment will be presented. Finally,
to commission the outer barrel pixel layers, assembled at the University of Liverpool.
