Socioeconomic Position and Late-Life Depression: Is C-Reactive Protein A Mediator?
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: School of Health Sciences
Abstract
What is the strength of the relationship between socio economic position (SEP) and late life depression (LLD)? Is there a relationship between CRP, SEP and LLD? Does this relationship remain after extensive controlling for multiple indices of physical illness/disease? Does this remain significant after controlling for the effects of childhood socioeconomic position (cSEP)? Do CRP, cardiovascular risk factors, and white matter hyperintensities mediate between SEP and LLD?
