Abstract
Quantum information is an effort to combine information theory with quantum mechanics 1) to understand quantum mechanics from informatic point of view and 2) to reinterpret information theory in the generalised space provided by quantum mechanics. This new branch of physics has enormously helped us deepen our understanding of quantum physics and develop new information technology including quantum computing. In this theory project, we will work on applications of quantum information theory for fundamental physics and/or real world uses. The project is mainly analytical while some numerical skills are necessary at a few places
