Computational modelling of myosin mutants for the treatment of congenital myopathies

Lead Research Organisation: Queen Mary University of London
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

Modelling the dynamics of the fast type II-a skeletal myosin (encoded by MYH2 gene) in MD simulations and comparing its dynamics with different mutants (Missense mutation specifically). The binding pocket for drugs will also be characterised and ready for virtual screening.
