Simulation of high-speed hydrogen combustion
Lead Research Organisation:
Imperial College London
Department Name: Mechanical Engineering
Abstract
Hydrogen combustion is a key technology for decarbonising future propulsion and power generation, with huge potential to improve fuel-efficiency and reduce emissions. This project investigates into modelling of small-scale phenomenon of hydrogen mixing and combustion. By extending state-of-the-art combustion modelling approaches, this project aims to produce more accurate and computationally affordable simulation tools for engineering applications.
