Lead Research Organisation:
University of Edinburgh
Department Name: Sch of Engineering
Abstract
This project aims to conduct an extended study of a wide-area control architecture as well as its
associating hardware and software requirements for the interoperability of the MVMT-HVDC network.
The overall outcome of this project is expected to contribute to and to support activities in the control
room at the National HVDC Centre with key focuses in the following areas.
The development of an industrial standard for the MVMT-HVDC network stability assessment.
Reliability study of the offshore HVDC network.
Cyber security and asset management (interaction with AC networks).
