Making Molecules Faster

Lead Research Organisation: University of Nottingham
Department Name: Sch of Chemistry

Abstract

This Project will address the challenge of converting a number of important but currently difficult transformations into continuous flow processes which could be easily incorporated into linked chains of reactors to carry out continuous multi-step manufacture of New Chemical Entities. Our strategy will be to employ our AI self-optimisation approach to simplify the problem of controlling processes. The main part of the project is to develop flexible flow processes which will exploit several of our innovations simultaneously. Success should have high impact both academically and industrially.
