Lead Research Organisation: Northumbria University
Department Name: Fac of Health and Life Sciences

Abstract

Climate change is a global challenge with significant implications for various sectors, including
the labour market. Both India and the UK are vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, but
they differ in terms of economic structure, industrial composition, and policy frameworks.
Understanding the labour market implications of climate change in these two countries is
crucial for policymakers, employers, and workers to effectively address the challenges and
capitalize on the opportunities arising from the transition to a low-carbon economy.
