Exploring the Efficiency and Sustainability of Green Hydrogen Production: Utilizing Solid State Electrocatalysts and 3D printed cells in Water Electro

Lead Research Organisation: University of Glasgow
Department Name: School of Chemistry

Abstract

The project aims to utilize our library of solid state electrocatalysts, including thin films, to find efficient ways for hydrogen generation using commercial and 3D printed electrolysis cells. The PhD scholar will also investigate improving the water oxidation reaction efficiency and exploring opportunities to implement electrolysers that can split water. Overall, the focus is on advancing hydrogen generation from water electrolysis through electrocatalyst and cell optimization.
