Addressing Automotive UserCentric Privacy and Security: AI Based TCU Analysis
Lead Research Organisation:
Swansea University
Department Name: College of Science
Abstract
The primary objective of this research is to enhance the security monitoring capabilities of TCUs through the integration of advanced AI-based techniques. The enhancement will provide the basis towards a patent application for a new cloud-based service for Beam Connectivity's TCU: Automotive cyber security real-time monitoring, detecting, and protecting without compromising user privacy. Specific technical goals include:
Developing a dedicated software security module for TCUs to detect and mitigate cyber security threats in real-time.
Implementing intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), secure communication protocols, software/firmware integrity checks, major focus on anomaly detection of TCU data using machine learning, firewall mechanisms, event logging/ alerting, and physical security measures.
