Towards a carbon-free future: Using underground storage of hydrogen in porous rocks to enable grid-scale energy storage
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Edinburgh
Department Name: Sch of Geosciences
Abstract
Hydrogen is attracting global attention as a key future low-carbon energy carrier . This project will focus on exploring the fate and transport of hydrogen when stored underground and retrieved to improve the technology's safety and efficiency.
