Robot Interaction: Manipulation & Grasping
Lead Research Organisation:
Imperial College London
Department Name: Computing
Abstract
The research goal of this PhD focuses on solutions that aim to achieve Scene understanding and Interaction execution -
scene understanding and action selection, in order to accomplish tasks that one could envision a household robot system completing. These
tasks could range from stacking plates, wiping surfaces, clearing a desk, and folding
clothes. Moreover, the solutions will be trained in simulation with the intention of
transferring to the real world whilst addressing the reality-gap.
